A 5 mil heavy bag for the cuts that matter
Our 11.5″ × 24″ bags are a heavy-duty 5 mil, built for larger cuts and serious freezer storage. Clear on one side so you can see the cut. Black on the other so you can write the species and the date.

You did the work. The bag's only job is not to waste it. Here's what the film is actually doing, and what it isn't.

Symbys film is two materials, not one. Polyethylene on the inside, which is the layer that seals. Nylon on the outside, which adds tensile strength and puncture resistance around bones and hard edges. The two are bonded into a single sheet.
What that means: a nylon layer that adds strength and puncture resistance where the film meets a hard edge.
A sealer pulls the air out and closes the bag. Everything after that is the film's job. Months in a chest freezer, packages shifting against each other, a hard edge resting in the same spot the whole time. That is the job the film is built for.

Moisture in the seal line breaks the seal, and that is true of any bag. Pat the fillet dry, lay it on parchment, give it an hour in the freezer, then seal. What a two-layer film adds is strength and puncture resistance after the seal.
Keep the workflow you already trust. Seal it in two-layer nylon film.
The 15-inch roll takes a whole fillet laid flat, no folding the fish. Cut it to length for a loin or a whole side. Zipper bags handle the jerky and the portions you open all week. The 11.5-inch bags run in most suction sealers you already own. The 15-inch bags and the roll need a sealer with a 15-inch seal bar.
Five sizes, so most cuts fit without folding. The 11.5-inch bags run in most suction sealers you already own. The 15-inch bags and the roll need a sealer with a 15-inch seal bar, and that sealer is one tap away in the cart.
250 bags, a 15-inch roll, and 50 zipper bags for the week. One box.

Saving a few cents on the bag isn't worth risking the catch you worked all season for.

Symbys started in 2016 selling to commercial operations that vacuum seal for a living. Farms, processors, fishing outfits. For ten years the only way to buy our film was by the pallet. The online store exists because people kept asking for the same bags in smaller boxes. So that's what this is. Same film. Smaller box.
